Back in 2022, we had the privilege of designing & executing the flagship Ayyappan Idli in the heart of Matunga a space where legacy met reinvention. Working with a reputed South Indian chain came with its own masala of challenges cloud kitchen vs dine in, design vs operations, roots vs reinvention.

We played with volume - hello, double height entry!, softened it with terracotta, greens, banana leaf pinks, and art deco nostalgia all while keeping the soul unmistakably South.
